This is a favorite recipe that my friends and I use for the Winter gatherings. Enjoy! It was first given to a friend of mine by Dr. Shik ( he is a Student Resident in Family Practice) from India.
Curry Chicken ( can use Beef or Fish)
1 onion sliced 2-3 cloves of Garlic crushed inch long piece of Ginger sliced and crushed
Put this into a pan with a bit of Olive or Veg. oil in bottom of pan Fry until it is Reddish Brown
Cut up and Skin Chicken (or Fish) or Beef Add meat to the Pan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Add spices ( you can get at an Indian Food Store, or here is my home made version if you do not live near an Indian Food Store)
Tandoori Masala 3 teaspoons cumin seeds 3 teasoon coriander seeds 3 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper few drops red food coloring
Grind ingrediants with Grinder or Coffee Gringer or Motrtar, mix in fod coloring. Air Tight Jar.good for 2 months.
put in heavy based frying pan and fry over medium heat for 5-10 min,until browned, cool, then grind to a fine powder, store up to 2 months use amounts to taste..to your a spice level...I have gotten so I like it very Spicy, but didn't at first)
