Time for a rant.

People that know me know that I don't rant on a lot.

But now I have to.

Sunday I was pulled out fishing (yet again) so I could not open the room (yahoo room). But last night, I decided to do a little experiment on my own, I decided not to open the room so I could see if any other moderator would do it, and do you know what I found out? It was never opened.

It seems to me like I am the only one opening the room at the moment, what happens if I had to go into hospital again, would that mean that the room would remain closed while I am in there?

Come on all you moderators, I don't want to be the only one that opens and moderates, I have to sleep too.

Anya, you know I've been trying, but for some reason right now, my Yahoo won't log into chat. The only way I can get in there is through Java and I can't get Voice. I don't know what the issue with Yahoo is right now, but I've tried everything this side of reformatting the computer to get it fixed.

But you are right. You pretty much have been the only one. I know Fire is busy with the move, but I don't know where everyone else is hiding.

I know you are having trouble Heidi and I am sorry for not letting you know what I was going to do. I also know Fire is moving so the post wasn't directed at you or Fire, its everyone else that is not doing their job (I feel).

There have been many nights where I have sat in the room on my own with a few people coming in, there other night we where having a really good convo and I fell alseep at my keyboard. I mass pmed the PR people to ask if someone could come in and take over and I got no reply, (apart from yours Heidi). I didn't want to close up as the convo was really good and I didn't want to stop people from talking, but in the end I had to close.

Come on people, I am in the UK, I can't keep doing this, the other night ( ^ the night I was just talking about) I was awake til 6am in the chat room, I was awake at 9am, I was up nearly 24 hours, its doing me in.

You know me Heidi, I don't rant that often, but this time I just had to.

Yeah I know I told you all in a mass IM, but you know what -- I am addressing it here also.

I feel very bad that Anya has to feel this way. Yes, I am moving. Yes, I am very limited with my internet time. Yes, the Board is / was having a hard time getting into the room. But let me ask you all this?

Do you need a babysitter?

Do you need to have someone give you daily directions on your duties?

Do you need daily reminders possibly?

Come on folks, besides Anya and myself there's 4 other PR's out there that can open that room and assist the other PR's with a break. I will be returning asap and I am hoping things are going to change while I am gone and I dont come back online to a major dysfunctional chatroom or dysfunctional PR personnel. Thats not something I want to deal with in the first week back.

So, get off the hinnes, light the fires and kick the tires folks, its time to get back into the race and stop leaving this to Anya, Heidi or Dave.

There, thats my rant and my opinion. Ya' all may not like it, but at least I am honest and I am not keeping things to myself.
