MM everyone!

well, i took MJ back yesterday. i tell you what, if we could handle this weekend, we can handle anything!!!

Weds: got MJ home, and had to tell him that in order for him to get around the house, he had to walk w/ his walker. he didn't like that, but did it any way! he'd go from the bed to the bathroom w/o the walker, just holding on to the wall and me holding his belt.

Thurs: had dinner at home at 11am. then let MJ sleep untill 1pm, when it was time to leave to go to his dad's. he ate well at both places. he wasn't really happy about sitting around w/ all of the people that his dad had, so after the turkey was carved, he went into the house and watched tv.

Fri: MJ didn't get out of bed much on friday. i had to take Michael to the ER. he had a major cough. he couldn't really catch his breath. i took him to the health dept, but they were closed so i had to take him to the ER. he has something called bronchospasm. while we were there, he had a breathing treatment and a dose of steriods. he's on prednisolone, and albuterol. it seems to be helping for the most part, but this morning, he had another coughing fit so we are just watching him.

Sat: MJ was really sweet this morning. he wasn't really impatient and didn't get pissy! he seemed sad that he had to go back, but at the same time, glad because he would be able to get to bed once we got to the hospital! ha ha ha

for the most part, MJ seemed glad to be home, but mad that the kids weren't silent little church mice. he did talk with both of them, and made little jokes from time to time. so i'm feeling good about him being home.

Mom and I talked about it and deciede that if we could handle this weekend, we could handle this all the time.

so, i'm off to bed now. Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!!!

i didn't think that i needed to start a new thread, since what i'm asking for is a direct result of the accident.

i'm in a funk right now. not majorly depressed, just a little bit, and i can't seem to shake it. does anyone have any good ways to get me out of it???

MM everyone,

well, MJ has been home since the 2nd. it's crazy here. trying to get all the therapists and the nurse on a schedule so we can get on one...

He's really grumpy and impatient. doesn't really want to spend time with the kids or me. he just wants to sleep. and if he wants to go to bed, its now, now NOW... i'm hoping that eventually he snaps out of it.

with christmas just around the corner, things are especially nuts here. i'm the one that has to do the shopping, which is something that we used to do together. but i really can't complain because he made it through the accident, and is here at home.

other than that, we are just trying to get into a 'normal' routine. if there is any such thing.

i apologize for not updating you all sooner, but things have been really fast paced around here.

MJ's home therapy has stopped. and we are in the process of trying to get him in some sort of out patient program. the PT was supposed to call me during the week, and never did, so tuesday, i will be calling the VA again. (oh joy)

he is walking w/o the walker. he hasn't used it in the house for about a month now. when i take him to his father's, the walker stays at home, since John lets him use it too much.

I took Michael and MJ to the track thursday and friday. the cars were practicing thursday, and when we were walking up to the track, one went around, and MJ's eyes got as big as saucers and he started screaming "YES!!!! that sounds GREAT' lol but, friday, when the trucks were running that was a different story. he kept saying that they would fly off the track and hit us. (we were in turn 4) and Michael said it was too loud. so we were only there like 5 minutes. it took us longer to walk to and from the car. but oh well....

MJ has an appt monday at noon for SSD. tampa hasn't put his records in their computer yet, so the SSA said that instead of waiting for them, he'll go to a dr. and they will make their decision from that visit. not sure if that's good or bad. he's TONS better now than he was in Tampa, but he's still not 100%.

Michael was in his first 'play' at school. they did the fruits of the spirit. his part was self control. i think his teacher did that on purpose!

I sprained my wrist putting Michael's shoes on last week, and i'm walking around with a wrist band on. hopefully it will stop hurting sometime soon.

Teri had a great birthday. it turned into a princess party. not by planning though! lol since no one was coming over, i invited one of our neighbors over for dinner and cupcakes. she got a cinderella dress, shoes and a crown. she was so cute!!!

Mom and i are doing ok, stressed as hell, but ya know.........

Other than that, MJ is doing well, improving everyday and seeming to enjoy the kids so, i hoping that he keeps that up!

I know that MJ is doing better Kelly...but this candle is not only for him, but for you and the kids as well. Please know that I am here if you want to talk sometime..
