Dave and I saw this program airing on PBS last night. It was called "Beleifs and Believers". It came on at 3AM, so we set it to record on the DVR.

This is actually a telecourse from the Univ. of Illinois. It looks at the nature and function of religions and secular beliefs that make up the major worldviews. It was originally copyrighted in '99, but it's still pretty interesting.

We're trying to see if we can get more information on the whole thing from PBS. Here's a link to the course information PBS has.
