Lecherous adventurers in
the darkness of pitch, offering
a lover's dance interrupted
only by the shuffling of feet..

A momentary lull,
while faceted eyes stare with
reposeful intensity

waiting..waiting..

to resume the continued
march of eager chirping;

a hidden love song
audienced by shimmering refraction,
blanketed by flowing clouds
of moon light's shade.
